Expanding our Global Network with a direct Chennai-Singapore Link

FLAG‘s newly announced Chennai to Singapore subsea route has generated significant attention across the industry, prompting discussions around the growing importance of resilient and diverse connectivity across Asia.

Recent coverage has focused on the route’s role in strengthening connections between India and Southeast Asia, delivering a second, geographically distinct path between India and Singapore. The investment enhances network resilience while supporting the increasing connectivity requirements of cloud, content, enterprise and international service providers.

It’s also been great to see customers engaging with the broader opportunities the route creates, from improved connectivity in Asia, to new end to end routing options from Asia to both Europe & the US with FLAG’s further investment opportunities.

Speaking about the investment, Paul Abfalter and Nadya Melic highlighted both its strategic importance and its contribution to long term digital growth.

Paul Abfalter, Chief Strategy & Revenue Officer of FLAG, said: “Adding a second, geographically distinct path between India and Singapore is a deliberate step to strengthen long term network resilience and control.”
