“The cohesive management environment excites me, and I look forward to being back in action every Monday morning to give my best throughout the week”.
Could you share some insights into your background and how you came to join FLAG?
With over 15 years’ experience in Technical Sales and Solution Architecture, including a number of years on Product Lifecycle management, I feel my current role at FLAG is the perfect fit for me. I joined in 2014 and always felt that FLAG would be an employer where I could build a long-term career path. That has 100% proven to be the correct decision.
What motivates you in your role at FLAG, and how do you maintain your inspiration?
The environment and culture are built on mutual respect, providing never ending opportunities to learn and empowerment for decision making. The cohesive management environment excites me, and I look forward to being back in action every Monday morning to give my best throughout the week.
Is there a specific project or achievement at FLAG that you are particularly proud of?
The real proud moment is an on-going phenomenon when the customers seek our advice for their requirements and designs which ultimately gets converted into the client’s business solution.
How do you approach challenges and overcome obstacles in your work?
We have challenges on a daily basis. The challenges are to fit our products and services into the customer basket, and the biggest hurdles are to fit the non-standard into the defined stencils. The best way to overcome obstacles is by interacting with the cross functional teams, seeking internal advice and moulding them into commercially workable solutions to the customers.
What role do your colleagues and team members play in your success at FLAG?
The fronts sales team is the main motivator – putting me at the forefront of the customer when it comes to understanding and interpreting the technical requirements and solution design. The next is the support role from the Products, Engineering and Program Management Teams who are ready to go the extra mile to help convert a design into reality.
Are there any mentors or individuals who have had a significant impact on your career here?
To name a few would be an injustice to the big FLAG family. Everybody in the FLAG ecosystem has created an impact – big or small and continues to do so. It’s just a matter of recognising them at the right time and opportunity.
How has your role evolved since joining FLAG, and how have you grown as a professional?
I joined FLAG in 2014 to support the India front-end sales organisation for our Global Services. With time I grew and was given broader responsibilities. With the journey going for SAARC, then South-East Asia, expanding to AsiaPac, and now I’m supporting Carrier Sales for the APAC, EU and US regions. This growth with an appreciated track record, has instilled a great confidence in me while helping me professionally when it came to interacting with the customers and teams.
What advice would you offer to new employees or those striving to excel in their careers at FLAG?
FLAG is a great place to work and gives an opportunity to learn and grow, while focussing on the big C’s- Company, Customer, Commitment, Collaboration and Contribution.
